As you all know, the entire DC Metro area is still digging out from the Blizzard of 2010, rounds 1 and 2.  DC is probably the area that has had the least progress.  Mayor Adrian Fenty needs to step his game up.  There has been absolutely no trash pick up since before February 4, 2010.  Seriously!?!?!  We already have a rat infestation problem in DC.  I don’t understand why there has been no trash removal.

SUPERBOWL 44

Everyone and their mother is in Miami for Superbowl 44.  Hip-Hop artist, Ludacris, TO (Terrel Owens) and His manager, Chaka Zulu (I think that’s still his manager) were viewing a “contest” at the Fontainbleau hotel in Miami. 

So much for the theory that blacks will start acting like they have some sense, “now that there’s a black president.” As the old familiar saying goes, “the more things change, the more they stay the same.” I was looking at the photo I posted and couldn’t help but think of all of the positive photos we see of First Lady Michelle Obama and the positive image we have of our president….and how the image here is in absolute total contrast to the images of the Obamas and their children.

I realize that they are young and in Miami to have a good time, but…is it possible to have a good time behind closed doors? I mean, seriously, do they have to put everything out in the public’s view? Just a thought….

Anyway, I’m sure these young ladies make their parents proud! Nice photo. LOL.

Former U.S. Senator John Edwards of North Carolina has finally admitted what we have known for some time now. He fathered a child with someone other than his wife. In 2008, he admitted to having a mistress, Rielle Hunter, but denied that the child born to his mistress was actually his daughter, Quinn.

Reportedly, Hunter traveled with Edwards while he was campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008. She was hired to film a series of short videos for his presidential campaign; she started sleeping with him (because I am sure there were no other men to sleep with – Edwards was the only man on the campaign trail), then she became pregnant and she gave birth to a daughter, Quinn, in February 2008.

Oh, by the way, during this time, Edwards’ wife was battling CANCER.

I’m not sure whether you can call Edwards anything else other than vermin. He cheated on his wife, lied about it…he had unprotected sex with another woman and had a child with her, causing his cancer stricken wife and the rest of his family much embarrassment…then HE DENIES HIS OWN CHILD! What a piece of %6$3!

It kills me how these self-professed Christians and people who claim to come from “good American families” always have some story that makes them look more like trash.

Lastly, the little boy says he is sorry for denying that Quinn was his child for an entire year. In a statement released today, he said that he will provide both love and financial support for his little girl. ****Deep Sigh****

Who cares, John, you already publicly denied her???!!! I will never understand any father who denies their own blood. All of the education and political clout in the world will never make up for denying your own child — even it was for only a year.

Mystikal…Remember Him?

Guess who called a Louisiana radio station today to tell the world he was “out?”  Well….none other than Mr. Michael Tyler, aka, Mystikal.  He was sentenced to six years in prison in 2004 for sexual assault of his hair stylist.  He was arrested in July of 2002 along with two of his bodyguards for threatening to turn his former hairstylist in to police for cashing $80,000 worth of unauthorized checks from his bank account.  The stylist said that she was forced to have sex with all three men in exchange for their silence.  As part of a plea bargain, all three pled guilty.  Under the terms of the agreement, Mystikal has five years of probation upon his release and has to be registered as a sex offender in Louisiana.

He told the Louisiana radio station that he wants “reparations.”  Ha!  Hilarious!!!

There was one positive point in the interview where I felt like he recognized that his behavior was reprehensible and that he basically through his career away over something so silly.  This is what he had to say about both his and his peers’ mistakes.

“We gotta pay more attention to what we doing, ourselves,” he opined.  ”We can’t be foolish, especially when you’re blessed and successful beyond your dreams.  We gotta tighten up.”

Apparently, when he said “we,” he was referring to Lil Wayne and T.I.

Maybe people can change.  In any event, I wish him the best of luck.

Big Dummy!  Gilbert Arenas is the dumbest millionaire EVER!  Well…maybe not EVER.  Anyway, what a stupid idiot!  Such an embarrassment!  Let’s see if he is still in a “joking” or “prankster” mood after they void that contract.

For those of you who have been hiding under a rock lately, Gilbert Arenas pulled a gun on his teammate, Javaris Crittenton, on December 21, 2009.  The argument stemmed from a card game.  Ha!  Of course it did!  What else would two grown men who happen to be millionaire basketball players be arguing about a couple of days before Christmas?

Little boys.

Why can’t these dudes act right?  I mean, seriously?!?!  I don’t even know any grown men who fight over card games.  I REALLY don’t know any millionaires who fight over card games!  Such little boys…sad.

Both the very old and the very young are going to require special attention in terms of receiving medical care in the aftermath of the earthquake that hit Haiti on Tuesday.  Take a look at CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta and the special and gentle care that he gives to this 15 day-old baby.  My heart ached and I could not hold back the tears as I watched this.
