Former U.S. Senator John Edwards of North Carolina has finally admitted what we have known for some time now. He fathered a child with someone other than his wife. In 2008, he admitted to having a mistress, Rielle Hunter, but denied that the child born to his mistress was actually his daughter, Quinn.
Reportedly, Hunter traveled with Edwards while he was campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008. She was hired to film a series of short videos for his presidential campaign; she started sleeping with him (because I am sure there were no other men to sleep with – Edwards was the only man on the campaign trail), then she became pregnant and she gave birth to a daughter, Quinn, in February 2008.
Oh, by the way, during this time, Edwards’ wife was battling CANCER.
I’m not sure whether you can call Edwards anything else other than vermin. He cheated on his wife, lied about it…he had unprotected sex with another woman and had a child with her, causing his cancer stricken wife and the rest of his family much embarrassment…then HE DENIES HIS OWN CHILD! What a piece of %6$3!
It kills me how these self-professed Christians and people who claim to come from “good American families” always have some story that makes them look more like trash.
Lastly, the little boy says he is sorry for denying that Quinn was his child for an entire year. In a statement released today, he said that he will provide both love and financial support for his little girl. ****Deep Sigh****
Who cares, John, you already publicly denied her???!!! I will never understand any father who denies their own blood. All of the education and political clout in the world will never make up for denying your own child — even it was for only a year.
How come you never condemn the women that sleep with these cheating men? The woman denied that he was the father too I’ve read a few of your posts and I must say that your view of men is quite disturbing. Remember it takes two to tango
The content was posted to highlight the fact that John Edwards lied to his wife, children and the rest of the country about creating another life. The woman is not married; however, John Edwards is married. She was paid to deny her child to the public. She didn’t deny that the child was her child. John Edwards denied that the child was his. Big difference!
Both of them, John Edwards and his mistress, made poor decisions. I think we can agree on that.
Oh…and why would you think that you know my “view” of men? You only know what I think of the men I chose to include in my posts. With the exception of Dr. Sanjay Gupta, most of the men I happened to include in my posts happen to be losers. That’s a fact. That doesn’t mean that my “view” of men is negative…so you shouldn’t be “disturbed.”
I agree with your points but I still think that if you’re offering commentary it should be somewhat balanced. Your blog = your opinion. BUT there is a trend here. A woman who sleeps with a married man is just as responsible for disrespecting the sanctity of marriage.
